Love and marriage have always gone hand in hand. Enter the fast-paced world of speed dating, where singles have the opportunity to date up to ten other lovelorn singles in one evening and life is looking good. As Londons chosen speed dating hosts, Dateinadash deliver a wide range of singles and speed dating events across the capital, helping to bring together likeminded singletons for evenings full of fun, flirting and mingling in exclusive, hand selected venues. How is this possible, you ask? Each date lasts a mere four minutes. What makes speed dating different from the typical bar scene is that singletons have the same objective to meet a potential perfect match. For many London singles tired of the bar scene and weary of blind dates, speed dating from Dateinadash offers a fun and safe alternative.
Rules of the Game
The rules of speed dating are quite simple. A group of singles gather at one of our handpicked venues. Armed with a nametag, a scorecard and their sparkling personality, couples are paired up to begin their first date and thats how the evening begins. Following four minutes of conversation, a bell is rung, and the men move on to meet their next date. Think of it as a flirt's version of musical chairs. Following each date, London singletons mark on a card whether they would have an interest in meeting their date again. If a mutual interest is noted, our professional speed-dating organizers clock the interest and let you know within 24 hours of the speed dating event.
But Does Speed Dating Work?
Speed dating has proven to be extremely successful both in London and across the UK, with approximately half of all singletons coming away with a potential match. While some may be uncomfortable with the notion of making repeated small talk multiple times in one evening, advocates of speed dating believe that the success of this "unconventional" arrangement lies in "conventional" simple chemistry. But the question remains: Is four minutes enough time to fairly assess someone? After all, in this short time, you may have written off someone you might have otherwise found interesting in a traditional dating scenario. Regardless, the popularity of speed dating is growing at a rapid pace. Here at Dateinadash were delighted to hear the news of an upcoming wedding between two London singles who found love at one of our Richmond speed dating events in the city back in 2016. Having received an email back in July, the entire team at Dateinadash are over the moon to hear a (once!) singleton has found true love after meeting the woman of his dreams and is now officially engaged. And because we know youll want to see, heres the email thread from Rob, the happy customer below as of 16th July 2017:
Hi, I'm just writing this message because I met the women of my life on Dateinadash (March 2016) and now we are officially in engaged. Thank you for everything. Thanks Rob
And of course we couldnt wait to reply to find out more so our founder Rob Ryall got in touch with the speed dater Rob (double Rob for total confusion!)...
Hi Rob, Great to hear - what was the name of the girl? Have you got a date set? Let me know the details so we can send something. Cheers, Rob Dateinadash
Excited about the future and bursting with pride, Rob got in touch with the details of the speed dating event and the upcoming wedding. To put it lightly, the whole team at Dateinadash couldnt be happier for the couple!
Aww that is so nice, thank you :) Her name is Heather. Our Dateinadash night was at One Kew Road in Richmond on 15th March 2016, we had exchanged numbers that night and have spoken every day since then and will continue for the rest our lives. I had proposed in Turkey recently and we reflect so much how Dateinadash was the place that put us together. Unfortunately we haven't arranged a date and place yet, but hopefully will have everything sorted soon.
Kind regards Rob
So there you have it. Speed dating in London really does work! Dateinadash wish Rob and Heather all the very best for the future and a wish you both a lifetime full of love, laughter and happiness!
