What is Virtual Speed Dating?
Virtual Speed Dating is just like the real thing only we run the events online through a video conferencing platform called Zoom. You simply login through your laptop or mobile phone and meet 10-15 people in short 3-4 minute dates. It's a great way to meet people during lockdown!
Are your events safe to attend with COVID?
Yes, absolutley. Our events adhere to strict social distancing regulations set out by the government. All our tables are spaced 2 meters apart with guests at least 1 meter away from one another. All our venues have increased cleaning regimes and hand sanitiser is provided on arrival. We operate a contactless matching system and ask that guests do not shake hands or make physical contact with each other.
How long do the events last?
Our events can last up to two and a half hours, this includes breaks. After the event many people tend to stay around to socialise further over a few drinks.
Where do the events take place?
Our events are held in London's top venues including bars, restaurants & hotels. All our events take place in private areas hired exclusivly for DateinaDash.
How many dates will I get?
During an average event you will get about 15-25 dates, depending on the size of the venue. Our experience shows this is the optimum number for an evening. We guarantee you will meet more people at our events than any other speed dating company regardless of what they might claim!
How long does each date last?
Each date will last four minutes. This is long enough for you to judge whether you like someone enough to want to see them again, but short enough to avoid embarrassing lapses in conversation. We allow plenty of time to move between tables and complete notes.
Will there be equal numbers of males and females?
It is difficult to guarantee equal numbers of both sexes, but we do all we can to ensure an even balance. Infact, many of our events have a few extra people to ensure no one is sat twiddling their thumbs!
What is a match?
A match happens when both you and somebody you have met indicate that you would like to meet again. A 'yes' match occurs when both parties have ticked 'yes' to each other and a 'friendship' match occurs when both parties have ticked 'friend' or a combination of a 'yes' and a 'friend' match.
What information is given to my matches?
The only personal information we give to your matches is your first name, surname and the photo you uploaded on registration. Communication is done via our internal messaging system rather than e-mail.
How will I know if I have any matches?
If you have used your phone to input your preferences then you will be able to view any matches immediatly after the event finishes. Otherwise we will email you within 24 hours of the event finishing when the matches are live on the website. You will then be able to login to your account and view any matches you have.
What happens if I don't get any matches?
There is no guarantee that you will receive any matches, but what we do guarantee is that, if you have not ticked anyone you would like to meet again, you will qualify for free entry to another of our events.
I'm too shy to come on my own, can I bring a friend?
Guests are welcome, but the events are ticket-only, so they would not be able to stay and watch.
I'm just outside the age range for an event can I still attend?
We hold events for several different age ranges, so you should be able to find one to suit yourself. Whilst we would not turn you away if you were a little outside the age range, we ask you to bear in mind that the guests attending the events will be expecting to meet people within the specified age range.
What sort of people go speed dating?
Most of the people who attend these events are professionals who are seeking to extend their social circle beyond that of work or current friendship groups.
Is it safe to meet people at a speed dating event?
Yes, absolutley. Our events are run by professional hosts who will make sure everyone is safe and enjoys the experience. We ask you to use the same safeguards and judgements about people you meet at an event as you would when meeting people under other circumstances.
How should I dress?
There is no dress code as such, although you are obviously hoping to make a good impression on those you meet!
What are the most popular events?
Our Red Straw Parties at Madison are easily our most popular events with hundreds of people attending each time.
What is the best venue?
All our venues are ideally suited for our singles events but overall the best venue (in Rob's opinion) we currently have is 100 Wardour Street in Soho. It is very popular and always attracts a great bunch of attractive, sociable & fun people. The venue offers table service with an excellent cocktail list. There is also live music downstairs after the event ends. The venue is centrally located which means it is easy to get to from almost anywhere in London.
What are Socials?
Socials are our brand new range of singles events where people can meet up and enjoy a shared activity in a less informal way; such as a walk along the river or cycling in the park.
What are red straw parties?
Red straw parties are a great way to meet lots of like-minded single people in an informal party atmosphere, on arrival each guest is given a coloured straw to drink from so it is easy to spot who is single and part of the event.
What are lock and key parties?
Lock and key parties are more like a regular party than our speed dating events. Women are given a key and men are given a lock. You then circulate looking for people who fit your lock or key. If you find a match you go back to the registration desk to receive raffle tickets and to be issued with a new lock or key. You are not guaranteed to meet everyone but there is a chance to spend more than four minutes with people you like.
What are Singles Pub Crawls?
These are really fun nights out in London with a group of around 30 people (even ratio of men/women) we visit 3-4 bars and end at a nightclub. The group plays a variety of drinking games and everyone gets a free shot and discounted drinks.
What is Play Date?
Play date is our activity based speed dating event where guests play a different board game on each date including cards against humanity, connect four & twister! These games act as a great ice breaker and for rubbish dates a polite distraction from conversation!
What is Drunk Jenga Dating?
Each couple play a regular game of Jenga but on each block we have written a question, dare or drinking forfeit. This event is a great way to get to know your date and often gets people interacting a lot more!
What is Naked Dating?
Not for the feint of heart, just like regular speed dating but without clothes! Easily the most popular event for men (often fully booked months in advance!) it's a unique event that you won't find anywhere else. We provide dressing robes for guests to change into and it's entirey up to you how much you reveal. Give it go!
What is Quiz Dating?
In a nutshell it's Speed Dating meets the traditional Pub Quiz! A fun and sociable evening where men and women form teams for a wide variety of quiz rounds and after each round the men move on to join a new team. After each round prizes are awarded to the top scoring team and flirt cards are provided to help you keep track of anyone you would like to see again!
Can I pay at the door?
Since we make every effort to ensure a equal number of males and females, we are unable to take payment at the door as to do so might upset the balance.
Can I book tickets for my friends?
Yes, just complete the form with their details or alternatively ask them to book their own tickets.
I have a Groupon code how can I redeem this?
To redeem your groupon booking please contact us via e-mail with your full name(s), date of birth and e-mail addresses along with the event you wish to attend, the groupon security code and a contact number and we will book you in.
I am unable to attend your event can I cancel?
Unfortunately we are not able to accept cancellations with less than 48 hours notice before the event. We do not provide refunds but we will do our best to move you to another event of your choice.
